How do you know if you are having a nervous breakdown?
Basically a nervous breakdown means that you're not able to function properly in your day to day life after some kind of an event. You can even take yourself to the hospital and let them know what's going on and they will be able to get you the help you need. It can get expensive if you do go to the hospital, but that's nothing compared to what could happen to you if you decide to take your own life or try to hurt another person due to your mental state.
You may want to start going to counseling and even maybe get on some medications. Generally you have to see someone different to work on your medications, and then you can see someone that you can tell all of your problems to. Whatever the case may be, it's always a good idea to figure out what to look for when you're taking medications in terms of side effects. A lot of people have a hard time dealing with these side effects so they have to switch medications. Don't be afraid to bring up medication changes to a doctor because their job is to make sure you're on something that works for you.
Try to keep yourself away from stress for a while when you feel like you're at your breaking point. When you have a nervous breakdown, it's generally because you're too stressed out and have too much on your plate to do. If you can, just take a little while off of work and make sure that you have someone do your house chores for you if possible. Just try to take it easy because this kind of a breakdown is your body's response to a lot of stress.
Now it's probably easy for you to tell if you're having a nervous breakdown or if you know someone that has. This isn't going to be easy to get through, but know that it will end and you will be able to get help if you need it.
