Fighting Depression Can Be Depressing

All of us are prone to depression. The state of depression is when one looks very close but is actually far away and is totally disconnected from this world. In this state one often has a lot going within, battling with monsters. We always think that we would remain in this state for the rest of our lives; however there is hope for greener pastures. It is us and only us who miss to identify help and refrain from people who try to help.
A depressed person often sees the world as a dark and ugly place where he is a misfit. The individual feels that he isn't worth living. Nothing to him feels safe or comforting or happy. In this depressed state there is some science that happens within the brain of an individual. The depressed only remember bad and unhappy things that happened in the past. The happy memories are out of reach. You tend to trust only what you believe is right; this therefore makes you disbelieve everything else that conflicts with your beliefs.
Almost always one forgets that you have had some feelings for your partner and is unable to reciprocate the love that they give you. If you are reminded about the past you will outright tell them that they are pretending. You are likely to have forgotten love, enjoyment, excitement etc. The reason for this is simply because you aren't able to feel any of those feelings presently and thus think that it never existed. The fact remains that you don't trust your friends and folks anymore. They keep repeating that you would get better and start feeling happy like before,but you don't believe it because you don't feel happy presently.
Depression causes intense pain in the body. This pain is not felt in one part of the body and the depressed cannot identify the region of pain because depression cause neurotransmitters to get abnormal in the brain and in the neural pathways. The usual touches and comforts make you cringe in pain, even to the extent of making one shed tears of pain. People seem to worsen things for you, they seem extremely dull and uninteresting. People even look like they would hurt you anytime and don't care for you.
It is very difficult to treat the depressed. But nothing in this world is irreparable and by just following a few methods, the depressed will definitely find relief. Meeting up with a counselor is the first and foremost that a depressed person should do. This counselor is one who you would confide in and share all the problems faced.
You can combat depression naturally by following a few methods. Healthy eating habits may help you good time. Some foods are seen to have some kind of depression inducing qualities. Avoiding these foods help. Exercising regularly, especially cardio, can help big time. Apart from helping you cope depression; exercise also helps you stay fit. Sleep at least 7-8 hours a day and feel the difference.
Working towards meeting goals and keeping your mind occupied; giving it no time to think about sadness of feeling lost helps keep depression at bay. Talking to friends and having time out with them helps a lot. Also try socializing for some good results. Mild depression can be controlled and prevented from going out of proportion. It is in your own hands to take charge and control your life.
