The Reasons of Depression

What is depression? What causes it? This article would define and identify several reasons why a person is depressed. The truth is it can be deadly if not treated properly.

A person with low level of progesterone, estrogen and cortisol may suffer from this state. However, doctors must assess the patient clearly and understand several causes of this disease. Here are the several reasons why a person may suffer from this deficiency:
Lack of Sleep. Without sleep, a person will feel sluggish. It is during sleep where immune system is balancing and rejuvenating cells. People who are deprived of recommended sleeping hours tend to look dry and may suffer this imbalance along the way. A good sleep will help make the person less tired during daytime thus, the feeling of being depressed may be avoided.
Poor Nutrition. A person who lacks the necessary vitamins and minerals in the body may vulnerable to this deficiency. Vitamins like B-12 and folic acid helps in chemical balancing in the body. Iron deficiency cause fatigue and weakness. Aside from that, vitamin D helps the person stay active. With proper vitamins and healthy lifestyle, it would help prevent from suffering being depressed.
Lack of physical activity. Exercise helps combat hormonal imbalance. It stimulates the muscles and improves body metabolism. Finding the right exercise program helps a lot in treating hormone deficiency. One should adopt an exercise or workout program, which suits one's lifestyle and way of life.
Chronic Stress. This is the number cause of major diseases and so much related to being depressed. Live a stressful free lifestyle. How to do this? Take a deep breath and identify the very cause of it. Poor immune system also leads to hormone imbalance. It is better to take a rest when the body needed it most.
Anti-depressants and anti-stress medications are very common nowadays. Considering that, we live in a time that has plenty of stressful activities, it is better to take a deep breath for quite some time before pushing ourselves too hard. This is not a cause of complicated diseases, rather a sign of common bigger diseases.
It is better to have a healthy lifestyle and positive disposition in life. With regular sleep and good lifestyle, stress-free life may be achieved for a while. Having a positive attitude all the time, limits the feeling of being depressed.One thing to remember is to identify the root cause of it. With this, one may be able to know how to combat and overcome such feelings.
